Around 15 kilometres of yacht spread across some 200 plus designs and naval architecture projects, on top of that a wealth of work has been carried out in the engineering sphere, it’s safe to say that our approach has been proven in practice. As one of the world’s leading independent studios, Mulder Design has a rich history since its foundation by Frank Mulder in 1979. With our 45th anniversary coming up next year, we can reflect on decades of serving a global client base and the key values driving us forward into the future.
Mulder Design offers its rich experience to all kinds of motoryachts. We are equally at home creating high-speed powerboats as developing semi-displacement and full displacement superyachts. We know that you are going to use your yacht to live out a dream, and that can be anything from a season of exploring to long weekends away with the kids. Our task is to translate your plans and thoughts into a design that makes us and you proud. We do this by following three key values:

We focus on both the big picture and the finer details, methodically going through every element of the process. Each part is as important as the next and everything from style to seakeeping is interconnected. Leveraging on decades of experience, we ensure each yacht is practical to build, looks as good on the water as on paper and is highly efficient in every respect. Wherever possible, we make the most of cutting-edge technologies, with an emphasis on sustainability and emissions-reducing solutions.
Focus
Mulder Design provides clients with the best possible end result in close cooperation with all parties involved. Our design teams are fully focused on creating yachts that are totally in tune with the wishes, personality and style of the client. In addition to the sense of continuity that a family-run business offers, we enjoy partnering with many different yards and owners around the world. Every yachtbuilder has its own modus operandi, something that has proven hugely inspirational while providing us with the broadest possible knowledge base.

With years of experience under our collective belts and an in-depth expertise that spans all disciplines, close cooperation always results in the best possible yacht.
