Dillinger - P466
The winner of the Superyacht Society Design Award 1990 in the category of motoryachts between 15 and 30m.
Outstanding performance, combines with comfortable cruising:
The basis of a design is the hull shape. After an extensive testing program the selected hull shape for Dillinger provides a smooth ride at high speed without the unfavourable hull drag of a prismatic deep-V hull.
The latest technologies in composite construction provide a strong, stiff and light hull:
For Dillinger the material choice was to use a carbon fibre-Kevlar/Balsa-core construction. The carbon fibre used is pre-impregnated with epoxy-resin (PrePreg). After applying all PrePreg layers, the complete hull is vacuum-bagged and kept at 250 degrees F for 8 hours to harden the epoxy.
Well balanced outside styling, combines smoothly with the high tech interior:
The exterior lines blend perfectly with the interior. The combination of salon/dining-room with the pilothouse gives a light an spacious feeling. The position of the galley below with the atrium effect to the windshield is spectacular. The styling of three spacious staterooms fits the total image of Dillinger and gives the guests a high level of comfort.
In 1996 Heesen Shipyards gave the boat a complete refit and was renamed "Metamorphosis".
