Sea Shaw II
Seashaw I (145ft) was delivered to the owner in 1995 and using her for well over 100,000 miles, the owner was ready for a step up in size and we started the design of SeaShaw II in the summer of 2000.
The focus on this yacht will be to reduce ship’s motion as much as possible when underway or at anchor in exposed bays. To ensure that, the yacht will be equipped with active and passive roll dampening equipment.
Apart from the increase in size the most important change is the hull material. Top speed requirement was reduced and that made us decide to use steel as the construction material for the hull. The owner still being very happy with fibre-glass opted for FRP sandwich construction for the superstructure.
