Meet Bas Mulder at Palm Beach show

The four-day Palm Beach International Boat Show has become a popular meeting place for the superyacht community and this year’s edition is sure to be the same. Mulder Design CEO Bas Mulder will escape the chilly Dutch weather and head to the Florida sun for the event, which runs from Wednesday 19 to Sunday 23 March inclusive.

This is an ideal opportunity to catch up and discuss any ideas or plans you have for a new build or refit. Bas will also be pleased to share details of our latest projects that may have caught your attention, from design jewels such as White Coral and Opal to the rebuilding of Ursus. Read more here, including a link to make an appointment in Palm Beach.

If you've never been to the Palm Beach International Boat Show (PBIS) and its superb location adjacent to Flagler Drive, you're in for a treat. This impressive event attracted some 55,000 visitors in 2024, keen to see the broad line-up of yacht and superyacht designs, sportfishing boats, cruisers, center consoles, inflatables and marine accessories. With well over 800 boats on display and a wealth of entertainment options, PBIS really is an experience in its own right.

Bas will be happy to make an appointment with you in advance, including elsewhere in Palm Beach away from the show if you prefer privacy. Drop him a line here and we will get back to you asap. Inspiring projects
Whether your interest in potentially teaming up with the Mulder Design team involves a new creation or the refit of an existing yacht, we have recently released details of various projects that illustrate the breadth of our expertise. A fine example is the stunning design concept for the 115-metre concept White Coral. Combining modern aesthetics and design sensibilities with a fundamentally timeless style, the project is a statement of style and intent. As Bas can explain when you meet, the way the complexity and beauty of this exterior design also takes interior requirements into account proves our ability to seamlessly blend function and form.

This fact is also shown by another gem of a new design, the 70-metre Project Opal. Our provisional GA serves as a template for customisation on this concept which has been developed with the Ares Yachts shipyard. This speedy yacht has a fast build time as the hull is already over half complete and the naval architecture at an advanced stage. If you’re looking to get ahead of the game with a new yacht this project is well worth discussing with Bas at the Palm Beach show.

Readers considering a refit or rebuild can test the waters of our expertise in this area too by exploring a newly completed project between Mulder Design and Balk Shipyard. The 30-metre motoryacht Ursus has been transformed in terms of design and performance, extended by six metres and endowed with many innovative features. The owners are delighted with the results and Bas can explain why at PBIS…. Let’s talk!
